1993 
Loose Change (Classic/Hard Rock)
Topaz’s singer had left Loose Change to join Topaz but they still had a gig left.  John volunteered to fill in for their guitarist.  This resulted in 5 more gigs with the band until time conflicts playing with both bands forced him to leave. John provided Lead, Rhythm, and Slide guitar, and Lead and backup Vocals.

1992 to 1996
TOPAZ (Jazz/Top 40/Dance/Variety/Blues/Country)
One of the areas best entertainment bands performing for larger clubs, corporate events, concerts, and weddings.  They have released records on a label.  They play Jazz such as Catching the Sun (Spyra Gyro), Casa del Sol (Richard Elliot), Giving it our best (Tom Scott), and several Kenney G. songs.  They have had Lee Greenwood open for them, and have played for the Jaycees National convention on a number of occasions. John provided Lead, Rhythm, and Slide guitar, and backup Vocals. 

1991 to 1992
Like It Or NotTM  (Professional Country Band)
This band needed a lead guitarist and had pending gigs.  John was called from a ad placed in a local musicians referral magazine.  He had to audition over the phone on Monday night and started playing with the band that Wednesday with no rehearsal. The band played at the larger country clubs.  The band recorded several song in a 48 track studio were John was used as a the guitarist and released a video.   The band competed in Nashville on the Charlie Daniel’s talent search. John stayed with the group until they disbanded in 1992 when the two lead singers left to attend school. Its Country Music, Like it or not! This band was extremely popular and rode the pinacle of the young country period. John provided Lead, Rhythm, and Slide guitar, and Lead and backup Vocals.

1997 to 1990
The PresenceTM
John played with this band for three years playing rock covers along with his Christian originals “Captain of my heart”, “Soldier of Love”, and “Final Warning”.  The band was formed of practicing Christians. The band worked its way up to playing larger venues and carnivals.  John married his wife Brenda and they had their first daughter in 1993. Due to these adjustments in his life he felt he couldn’t give the band 100 percent and left.  The band still plays these songs to this date.  John provided Lead, Rhythm, and Slide guitar, and backup Vocals.

1987
The Culprits (Country/Variety)
The Culprits band 1987 (Country/Variety) - John played with this band for two years playing at Elk, VFW’s, FOE's, and clubs.
