Igniter band 1986 (Hard Rock/Rock/Blues)
This band performed in local clubs performing Rock, Classic Rock, Hard Rock, and blues cover tunes and originals.  This band also performed several of Johns original songs including "People of the Son", "Treat me bad", and "Rocking Hard". John provided Lead, Rhythm, and Slide guitar, and Lead and backup Vocals.

1983 to 1986
Sinbad and Nija
1983-1986 John attended the university of Central Florida where he studied and was awarded a degree in Computer Science.  While attending the university he played lead guitar and sang in two bands Nija and Sinbad.  He graduated with his degree in 1986.  It is also, where he received the LORD JESUS CHRIST as his personal LORD & Savior. John provided Lead, Rhythm, and Slide guitar, and Lead and backup Vocals.

1982
Areila band 1982 (Original Rock/New wave)
Areila’s management flew two band members to England for preliminary negotiations with EMI records.They recorded a demo album to submit to EMI containing 8 original (6 if which were written by John) songs and released a music video for the original song “City Boy” also written by John. The demo album was produced in a very short time, on a very lean budget, and caused a lot of interest, resulting the shooting of the video.  John provided Lead, Rhythm, and Slide guitar, and Lead and backup Vocals. 

1981
Foxworth band 1981 (Original Rock)
This original Rock Band performed the song written by John, “Rocking Hard” which placed #9 in local album song writing contest.  Recorded in an 8 track studio this was his first studio experience.John provided Lead, Rhythm, and Slide guitar, and backup Vocals. 

1979-1981
Straight Shooter (Classic/Hard/Original Rock)
This band played mostly rock covers playing at clubs, colleges, parties, and concerts. Also, it played some of John's originals including "Rocking Hard".  This was John's first club experience.  John provided Lead, Rhythm, and Slide guitar, and backup Vocals.
